Obstetricians & Gynecologists provides complete obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound imaging services. With our advanced ultrasound equipment and 4D imaging technology, we are able to offer a detailed look at your pregnancy so that we can provide you with the highest level of care. We have recently Ultrasound_Deviceadded April Eikmeier, a certified ultrasound technician, to our staff. April, with the assistance of our doctors, will perform careful ultrasound assessments of your baby as the pregnancy progresses. This begins at the first OB visit when each patient receives an ultrasound to confirm her due date.

At the 20 week appointment, each patient will receive a detailed anatomy scan of the pregnancy. This ultrasound measures the growth of the baby and also screens for common birth defects. At this visit, if the patient desires, the sex of the baby can usually be determined. As a bonus, you will be able to see your baby in 4D providing the first detailed look at this new member of your family. April also will record a video clip of your baby on DVD to have as a keepsake and to share with family and friends.

By combining our years of obstetric experience with the most advanced ultrasound technology, we are able to provide excellent prenatal care for our patients. Please contact our office to learn more about the use of 4D ultrasound in your pregnancy.

Different Ultrasounds Explained:

2D ultrasound give you outlines and flat looking images, but can be used to see the internal organs of the baby. This is helpful in diagnosing heart defects, issues with the kidneys and other internal issues.

The 3D images are used to show you three dimensional external images which may be helpful in diagnosing issues such as a cleft lip.

What 4D ultrasound brings to the table is that as the image is continuously updated, it becomes a moving image, like a movie.
