At
Obstetricians & Gynecologists, PC, we are committed to providing high-quality, efficient care for patients in Central Nebraska. The following office policies help ensure a smooth experience for every patient.
Contacting Our Office
Your call will be answered by our office staff during regular business hours.
For after-hours or weekend emergencies, please call (402) 462-8566 to reach a physician. If a provider is unavailable, our answering service will contact the on-call physician or nurse midwife.
Important Guidelines
- Please make all calls yourself to protect your privacy and ensure accurate communication
- Provide detailed information when scheduling appointments so we can allow adequate time
- Non-urgent requests (prescriptions, scheduling, insurance) are handled during business hours only
Medical Questions & Calls
- Calls may be handled by a nurse or medical assistant as part of our care team
- Messages are returned as quickly as possible
- Extended conversations with a physician typically require an office visit
Prescription Refills
Please contact your
pharmacy first and ask them to send a refill request to our office. Many refills can be completed electronically.
Office Hours & Appointments
Office Hours
Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Appointments are required.
Appointment Policies
- Please cancel appointments as early as possible if you are unable to attend
- Patients arriving more than 20 minutes late may need to reschedule
- Check in at the reception desk upon arrival
We strive to stay on schedule, but delays may occur due to:
- Deliveries
- Surgical emergencies
- Urgent patient needs
If delays are anticipated, we will do our best to notify you in advance.
Scheduling Notes
- Patients may not always be seen in order of arrival
- Some appointments require shorter visit times and may be scheduled accordingly
- If traveling a distance, we recommend calling ahead to confirm schedule timing
Preparing for Your Appointment
To help us provide the best care:
Be prepared to discuss your medical history and current concerns
Bring the dates of your last two menstrual cycles
Avoid douching for at least 48 hours before your appointment, as it may affect exam results
Emergencies
Emergencies always take priority.
Call immediately if you experience:
- Heavy bleeding
- Severe pain
- Any urgent or concerning symptoms
If an emergency occurs while you are in the office, there may be delays. We appreciate your understanding, as we would provide the same immediate care to you in a similar situation.
Children Accompanying Patients
To protect patients—especially those who are post-surgical or immunocompromised—we ask that you do not bring children to your appointment when possible.
Additional Guidelines
- Children may accompany you for ultrasound visits during pregnancy
- We recommend another adult supervise children during your exam
- Newborns are welcome up to 8 weeks of age
Due to limited space, additional seating is available in the
Hastings office atrium for family members or guests.
Payment & Insurance
As a courtesy, we will file claims with your insurance provider.
What to Bring
- Insurance card(s) at every visit
Payment Policies
- Co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances are due at the time of service
- Self-pay patients are expected to pay in full at the time of visit
Accepted Payment Methods
- Visa
- MasterCard
- Discover
If you have questions about payment options, our patient accounts team is available to assist you.
Surgical & Obstetrical Care Billing
If you are planning surgery or obstetrical care:
- A financial consultation may be scheduled
- Fees, insurance processing, and payment policies will be reviewed
While we assist with insurance claims,
coverage is determined by your insurance provider, and patients are responsible for any remaining balance.
