About Melissa Wiles, MA, LIMHP — Hastings & Grand Island, Nebraska

Melissa was born and raised in Hastings, Nebraska, and has deep roots in the community she now serves. She earned her bachelor's degree from Doane University in 2007, followed by her Master of Arts in Counseling — also from Doane University — in 2009. She later completed her Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology at the University of Nebraska in 2013.

After graduate school, Melissa worked as a therapist and provided in-home family counseling — experience that strengthened her understanding of the real-world challenges families face. She joined the Obstetricians & Gynecologists, PC team in April 2017, bringing her counseling expertise directly into a women's health setting where the need for mental health support is both common and often underaddressed.

Why Mental Health Support Matters in a Women's Health Practice

Mental health and physical health are inseparable — and never more so than during the reproductive years. Research consistently shows that conditions like postpartum depression, perinatal anxiety, and the emotional stress of infertility or pregnancy loss are common, impactful, and highly treatable with the right support. By embedding mental health services directly within the OB-GYN practice, Obstetricians & Gynecologists, PC makes it easier for women to get the help they need — without the barrier of finding a separate provider or navigating an unfamiliar setting. Melissa works alongside the physicians and advanced practice providers at the practice to ensure women receive truly coordinated, whole-person care.
